On Sunday 5 June the Provincial Prior, R E Kt Raymond Cochrane, attended the Church Service at St Helen’s Church, Abingdon.
The Banners of each Preceptory within the Province together with the Eminent Preceptor (or a representative) entered the Church and arranged themselves in front of the Alter Screen. They were followed by the Right Eminent Knights, Great Officers and a delegation of the Knights of Malta who escorted the Provincial Prior into Church.
In the congregation were many members of the Order together with their wives, friends and children; a total of nearly 200 people in all. The service was conducted by the Provincial Prelate, Kt Revd Fr J M Baker. The Buckinghamshire Provincial Choir gave two choral renditions and supported the knights in their enthusiastic singing of the hymns.
An enjoyable Service concluded with afternoon tea in the Church.
